Pre-war Bronze Sports Award SA- Adolf Gustav Daumiller (1876-1962) # 3422

This piece is another high quality bronze and a sport award for the S.A. The piece measures over 11 inches and about 5 inches wide. The base incorporates the swastika and the latin phase "Mens Sana In Corpore Sano" around the circumference translating to "A Sound Mind In A Sound Body. It is a heavy piece featuring 3 detailed bronze leaves on a stem mounted into the center of the base swastika. This is a signed piece by a prominent artist and once again, not at all common in the marketplace. In the early prewar years you see quite a bit of bronze but its very hear to find today with survival rates and wartime usage being prohibitive. You have a small window to operate in for pieces like this.

A very nice piece and unique and I am still pondering it for myself currently, but I would keep everything if I could.
