Beautiful bronze figure of the Jungmaedel dating from 1938 and sculpted by noted artist and medalist, Adolf Jager (1895-1983) in 1938. Adolf Jager exibited in the Haus der Kunst in 1938 for an HJ fife player and companion piece for the piece offered here, and one purchased by Adolf Hitler. The bornze measures 10 1/2 inches tall and is an expressive work depicting the female youth of the period. Political pieces of the era are getting increasingly difficult to obtain and this particular example has been in a private collection for over 20 years and it was said to have been obtained form the estate of the artist and may be a unique cast.
