Dietrich Eckart bronze Plaque ( Noack.. Berlin ) 1923

Dietrich Eckart bronze death plaque dating to the year 1923 and bearing the foundry mark for Noack Berlin. Born in 1868 Eckart is a noted journalist and playwright and one of the earliest members of the D.A.P  and the Thule society rubbing elbows with many of the most notable figures in 3rd Reich history but most notably Adolf Hitler. Eckart who met Hitler in 1919 was by his side throughout the following several years in an advisory and fundraising role and was reported to be involved with the Munich Putsch of 1923 but instead was in a bar drinking with Heinrich Hoffmann. He was however jailed and sent to Landsberg prison along with Hitler but released in 1923 for poor health and died in December of that year. There is a lot of history in these topics and one can simply pull much of it on the web.

Heavy dark bronze plaque measuring 9 1/2 x 7 1/2 approx and weighs in at at least a couple pounds and retains the original period hanger.
