Original Benito Mussolini Charcoal Sketch- Cesare Annibale Musacchio
Offered here is an original, hand signed, 12" x 18 1/2", 1923 dated charcoal and chalk drawing of Benito Mussolini by artist Cesare Annibale Musacchio (Roma, 1882 - Roma, 1956) Musacchio did drawings of the Mussolini family members and these were autographed by each sitter. Two years after this drawing was made, it was published in a fascist periodical titled: COSTRUIRE. That original magazine is included with the drawing. The drawing is framed in a contemporary black painted frame, and has the stamp of a Marblehead, Mass. framer on the back. The work is in excellent condition and ready to hang. The magazine is in fine condition, showing some foxing, but no rips or tears. A scarce original work by a known artist. The last photos show the 1923 drawing done of Edda and Rachele Mussolini and are not included, but is shown only for reference.
