Prussian Desk Eagle
Gilded cast brass or bronze, crowned, Prussian eagle on a marble
base. 4 3/4" tall, 6 1/2" wingspan. The gilt finish is not painted but
is more like gold leaf. It may have been re-gilded at some point, but it
displays well. There is a hole drilled in the beak of the eagle. It may
have held a hook for hanging a pocket watch or an EK. Marble base has
chamfered corners and no chips. It appears original to the bird.
