Der Fuhrer Profile: (Arno Breker) Reichschancellery

Three versions of this Breker piece are noted. All examples were cast by the Prussian Mining and Smelter Company Gleiwitz. The first example noted is a small 19cm variant in Iron which Breker created to celebrate Hitler's 50th Birthday. The second and third variant are less common and are larger examples in bronze and iron at 43cm in size.

This variant in iron was made to commemorate the completion of the New Reich's Chancellery in 1939 and probably adorned its walls. Measuring 43cm or 17 inches in size it is signed Signed A. Breker at the neck. Arno Breker is probably the most notable artist of the period and was responsible for some of the greatest and most important works of the Reich which left him little time for commercial endeavor and his work all the more desirable. A rare piece with recorded sales histories. Heavy piece so shipping will be calculated based on location.
