Gahr Stickpin Boxed W/ Attribution- Richard Reichert (Pepera Collection) # 1862

Gahr stickpins are rare, boxed examples even more so; attributed examples just about unheard of and that is what we have here. The piece is the boxed Gahr that was utilized in Cone's publication " One People One Reich ". It is attributed to one Hauptsturmfuhrer Richard Reichert whose electronic file is provided here and was a member of Himmler's staff the RFSS. Party # 865,255 and SS # 17,842 and as noted in his file his Z.A # is 7391. A peek into his file will give you any information that is available but there appears to be a notation to the Lebensborn and he may well have been involved there. The history on the pin is that it was purchased by well known collector John Pepera from Cone after the publication. It sat in his collection for many years and took some considerable rangling to get it from him over several years. He was a tough negotiator and will be sorely missed. The pin itself is a mint example numbered to Reichert and the only attributed example that I have personally seen and consider the number utilized on these pins were not SS membership #'s the job of attributing one is difficult. Its a great piece and a great opportunity to own this example. (Gahr Stickpin Boxed W/ Attribution- Richard Reichert (Pepera Collection))
