Marble Two Piece Desk Set- Kriegsmarine # 1167
Two Piece marble desk set that actually matches, the main piece
measures 12 1/2 by 8 1/2 and retains its glass ink holders which are
often missing, lid is retained by a standard piano hinge and the base
sits on what appear to be 3 brass feet.
The second piece bears the identical black and brown mottled veining as the base and on top is a pretty large Kriegs-marine style eagle with a wing span of almost 7 inches perched on top of a ball in typical deco style. Bird is heavy and maybe plated brass and is well defined and detailed.
I
see these in the market on occasion and in different styles and amounts
of pieces, this is a good looking set and smells good.
