Desk top impressionist rendering of Horst Wessel, party martyr killed by communists and celebrated for his music and lyrics. Wessel a devout anti-communist and SA man was an early pre-war party member who is well known to anyone who follows Reich politics and propaganda. The piece measures approx. 11 inches tall and the bust itself just over 7 inches making it a perfect desk display for a political collector.

While the Noack foundry can identify the model, the artist information has been lost to time and the piece is unsigned. The bronze is untouched and original without any damage, the base as in many cases is a replacement but of the period. This would be an early pre-war casting of the famous brawler and will make a nice addition to someones collection.
