Cast bronze figural group of a beautifully modeled Mother and Child, by German
sculptor Burkhart Ebe. (1881-1949) Bronze measures 12 1/2" tall, and is mounted
on a 1 1/8" variegated green/brown marble base. Signed in the bronze: EBE.
This bronze was exhibited in the 1937 Haus der deutschen Kunst exhibition in
Munich and appears in the catalog from that year. Excellent condition with
original dark brown patina, and no chips or cracks in the marble base.
