I have always been partial to these kinds of pieces, and this one is a great example. It is a 3rd place shooting award and the base and exterior roundel are steel and it weighs quite a bit. The actual color looks like bronze. The ball feet screw off so it can sit flat or on its feet. The actual Swastika and wreath are two piece construction and connect through the center of the award and are made of bronze. Dedication engraved to the upper roundel reads "PREISSCHIESSEN 3 EISB Pl. ERS BTL 2 3 PREIS".
