Model #83 Der Fechter/The Fencer Allach # 460

"Der Fechter" is generally attributed to Heydrich, who was 2nd in command of the SS, and an avid fencer. Obermeier entered the production for the 2nd time with this bisque statue that was used for many  presentations. Period photo's show this piece being presented in various sporting events and it must have been cherished by the victor's of those competitions. The bisque gives this piece a stone like appearance.

It would appear that this piece was among one of the pieces that Himmler kept in his personal stash of presentation pieces. An exceptional piece and quite rare.
