SS Dagger Model 1936 Chained Dagger # 706

The Introduction of the 1936 Pattern SS dagger bought on changes in design that make it one of the most sought after and cherished items for the collector of SS items. Most often found with unmarked blade, the amount of variants in regards to manufacture, make the "36 Chained" a study on its own.

The addition of the center scabbard fitting with intersecting swastika's and of the chain with a staggered design of both the "Deaths Head" and the dual "Sigrunes" add to its appeal. Worn with standard portapee and hung from the SS officers side, this piece along with the SS uniform and its various trimmings made the SS a most notable organization. And the most feared. Do your homework before you step up to one of these.

Pictured is an early type II W/ Painted scabbard and solid nickel fittings and crossguards. A short window of production for this example.
