Presentation 1/10 Felderrnhalle Mahnmal Statue in Bronze (Paul Ludwig Troost- Kurt Schmid Ehmen) # 3479
They say history takes 100 years to right itself and the 3rd Reich depending where you start is about 98 years old if I use the Putsch as a date for start. Prior to that there is Coburg and WWI and many small groups and associations of all shapes and sizes, mostly political and some mystical. Today you have the rise of a new museum in Munich, and about 10 years ago a display of National Socialist history as the people of Germany take interest in their history and the state has become more accepting of it for historical purposes, with their narrative of course. The recent demand for artifacts of original memorabilia and rare pieces with provenance has performed quite well at auction and this has not gone unnoticed and is aided by the demand of historical institutions now looking to fill their cases using contributions and funding from various sources as well as speculators who buy both their passion and taste and hope that the 100 year rule will help them make a profit in the future as the material becomes more mainstream as it pertains to the arts.
The key thing to remember is that the history is of a political party and not to become distracted from that fact that it is nothing less than a political movement born out of the interim period of WWI and WWII and allowed for Hitler to rise to power and establish not only that political movement but aided by men like Himmler and others a paramilitary force who's goal it was to reinvigerate lost generations of the past going well past centuries of various cultures and without limit to any borders. A weaponized political arm of the party which sought to establish a pagan lifestyle and financed with and by the farmers working the lands garnered in the the expansion east. and the Bauer representing the soldier/farmer.
In short Germany is representative of mid-evil Europe and the Goths with a culture that predates the U.S by a couple thousand years and their history crosses paths with the Roman Empire, Emperor Constantine, and pre-Christian ritual. That represents itself in the interim period of WWI and WWII in both daily life and politically and Germans are responsible for more than making good beer, and the history channel has taken more than a few shortcuts.
