Model #10 Berghirsch/ Mountain Stag Allach # 386

The Mountain Stag a typical Karner piece, Top notch with no sacrifice to detail whatsoever. It is not the first piece to utilize multi-piece construction, but it is worthy of note. The antlers of this piece were removable and were manufactured that way. Two serrated holes in the top of the head were each met with a form fitted porcelain antler section.

Production 1938

Production 1939

It is difficult to say when this piece was manufactured till, the loss of skilled labor in the early forties cut short production for more of the pieces that required a higher degree of difficulty to complete. It made it into 1939 for sure.
