Amber Desk Piece ( Deutschland Erwache ) # 3065
am always on the hunt for unique pieces but this one really got my
attention when I saw it, and one of the neatest items I have seen and
appears to be an early political piece.
The base is a block of Amber that measures 5 1/2 wide and 3 1/4 deep and the overall height is about 3 inches. The front is adorned with hand cut silver letters for the NSDAP and a silver medallion is fitted into the top showing the rising sun in a manner you see on early National Socialist pieces and Deutsches Erwacht or Germany Awake motif's.
There was some obvious thought to the manufacture and utilizing the amber to make it appear as sunlight from the rising sun on the silver disk. This is a really nice piece in my opinion. am always on the hunt for unique pieces but this one really got my
